Abby was excited about the date as well...she was eager to get to know
Paul better and talk about alien things, like the changes in atmospheric
pressure. They'd no sooner sat down when..
"Hi pumpkin, fancy running into you here. Say, who's the young man? "
"DAAAAD! I'M ON A DATE! OMG SO EMBARRASSED!"
"A date, eh? Say fella, I've got a picture here of Abby in her awkward phase..."
Abby was extremely embarrassed, and Paul was so uncomfortable that he had to excuse himself to the restroom for a few minutes.
Abby sat on a couch, feeling miserable. She'd wanted a fun, romantic evening and it was all going to hell. Maybe she should just call the whole thing off.
Paul came out of the bathroom and took a deep breath. "Can we start over? I really do want to get to know you." Abby gratefully agreed.
